Grant Application Accelerator
We combine coaching, research communication expertise, and structured accountability to help you develop a stronger, more competitive proposal.
Grant writing support that helps you develop your best proposal
Most researchers know what it’s like to write a grant proposal under pressure. But high-stakes proposals need more than a close-to-deadline push. A structured writing plan with expert support can make all the difference, giving you time to refine your ideas and submit your best work.
Our Grant Application Accelerator transforms the often stressful and isolating grant-writing process into a collaborative one. We combine coaching, research communication expertise, and structured accountability to help you develop a stronger, more competitive proposal.
Instead of scrambling to finish at the last minute, you'll work at a measured pace, leaving you calm and ready when it’s time to submit.
Testimonials
We’ve helped our clients win prestigious grants, including the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program award.
“The grant proposal accelerator helped me write a lead-author proposal that is my most ambitious and polished to date. And I won the grant!
I highly recommend the accelerator to others looking to get more out of their proposal-writing hours.
The best part was that the final week before the deadline was calm and controlled. The process was structured so that we left enough time at each step to produce quality work. And, because the full draft was copy-edited at the end, I got to spend the last hours on high-leverage revisions instead of copy-editing and checking format compliance.”
— Andrew Head, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. NSF CAREER grant winner (2026).
“Working with the Bosworths turned an otherwise solitary individual effort into what felt like a collaborative project (and a fun one, at that!).
Although I had to do the writing myself, Faith and Brendon aided me in structuring the overall process, tracking day-to-day progress, and editing all my grant's materials.
Faith and Brendon treated me with warmth, respect, understanding, and exactly the right balance of encouragement and seriousness needed to keep me on track to achieve this goal. I'd rate this experience 10/10.”
— Danaé Metaxa, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and NSF CAREER grant winner (2025).
How we work with you
Over six weeks, we support you through the grant-writing process, providing structure, coaching, and editorial feedback to ensure you communicate your ideas effectively.
Start strong (Week 1)
We start with an onboarding survey and kick-off meeting to understand your research focus, clarify your writing goals, and develop a customised timeline for writing and review.
Write with purpose (Weeks 2-5)
We meet weekly to track your progress, set goals for the following week, discuss any concerns, and problem-solve together.
During this period, you submit two work-in-progress drafts and receive careful, constructive editorial feedback to strengthen the proposal as it develops. We also stay in touch over Slack to keep up the momentum.
With our support, you identify expert reviewers from your peer network and request their feedback on your proposal, which you can incorporate before the final edit.
Submit with confidence (Week 6)
You receive a full edit of your final draft to ensure it clearly communicates the value and impact of your research, reads well, and is ready for submission.
We meet once more to check that everything is on track and support you in the final push
Close and reflect
When the draft is done, we meet for a final debrief to close out the process and reflect on lessons learned.
Your role in the process
Our programme works best when you can set aside focused writing time between sessions. We provide structure, guidance, accountability, and editorial feedback, while you remain in the author’s seat.
To get the most from the process, you’ll need to attend the scheduled check-ins, write between sessions, share relevant funder guidelines, and submit work-in-progress drafts on the agreed dates.
